KANG OOTD BLOG

Welcome to my blog :) It's Kang here.

I am a student who study at Penang and I am from Malaysia.

Don't know where to go when visit to Georgetown, Penang? Don't know what to do when visit to Georgetown, Penang? Don't worried, I am here.

Today, I will introduce you where should go and what to do when visit to Georgetown, Penang.

(Click the video below to view the overall of my trip)

1) Armenian Street

Armenian Street, or Lebuh Armenian, is a street in the inner city of Georgetown and within the core zone of the Georgetown UNESCO World Heritage Site. It derives it's name from an Armenian family who once stayed at the junction of the now Armenian Street and Beach Street in the early part of the 19th century.

When visit to Armenian Street, you should not miss out the street arts and temples surrounding that area. (Click the video below to see the attraction places at Armenian Street)

Besides that, do not forgot to go to "Art of Dragon Gallery" to taste the famous "Dragon Ice-ball" which only cost RM4 per piece.

Worry that the weather is too hot? Do not worried, there is a cafe named "Grainloaf" at the end of Armenian Street. You can drop by there for a rest by having a delicious bun with a cup of coffee.

4) Kuan Yin Teng (Goddess of Mercy Temple)

Kuan Yin Teng is located along Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, formerly Pitt Street. It is the oldest temple, although far from being the biggest or most ornate temple in Georgetwon, Penang. From The Alley, it's just 3 minutes walking distance to reach Kuan Yin Teng.

The exterior and interior design of Kuan Yin Teng is followed the traditional architecture of Chinese temple and the temple is well maintained although the age of temple is old.
